THE SIMPLE WAY TO EARN MONEY FROM YOUR PASSIONS & PURPOSE

One of the statements I most commonly hear these days, is
'Great, I know my passions and purpose now....so how can I start earning money from it?'

And....here's what I usually say to that...
There are lots of ways you can earn from your passions and purpose in the world and choosing the one that is the best fit for you is a personal choice, based on a variety of factors. BUT I do have one particular bias when it comes to suggesting an option that suits almost everyone, no matter what you do.
Start a blog.
Now before you roll your eyes and say 'that's what everyone is doing' or 'I can't write' or 'aren't they so last year' or....any other number of excuses :) Listen in for a moment.
The reason I suggest starting a blog in the first instance is two fold.
My first reason is about deepening your personal development and alignment with your self. Because writing and sharing our personal story breeds clarity and connection with our tribe (those people that will resonate and be richer for knowing your perspectives) and the process deepens our understanding of ourselves, so we can develop further.
Plus it grows our mastery in our 'sweet spot', building our expertise and confidence (not to mention, it's always a good thing to have in our portfolio (or resume for that matter) because it's an expression of who we are.
Secondly, it's because the most common reason I see people fail to live their passions and purpose in life is due to the fact they fail to act, they fail to take the first baby step forward that says to themselves and the universe 'hey I'm ready to receive what I'm seeking. I'm ready to share my passions and purpose in the world...and all of the abundance that comes with it'.
And from personal experience I would say 'no', blogs are not dead and there's not too many of them!
Sharing stories is part of human nature and goes back to the beginning of time. It's not going out of fashion, the platforms we use may evolve but our stories and sharing them will remain valuable always.
Starting my blog and website was the quickest and most profound way I was able to begin living and sharing my passions and purpose. It's why you're here reading this right now. And it's a wonderful platform for earning money too.
I don't want to preach you'll earn 6 figures in 6 months or any other random number because it's different for everyone and while that certainly can happen, it depends on the individual (check out all the blog earning reports on Pinterest!). But once you're set up and on your way, the possibilities are endless. *
FIRST things first though, start for you, writing about yourself and what you love and your perspectives is first and foremost... then be open to the money flow.

Step 1:

The Basic option is fine to get started!
Step 2:
Pick your domain name (website address) for your blog/website. If you don't know what domain name to go with, just use your name to begin with (you can change it down the track if you prefer).
You can just use your name or some combination with your name to begin with - if nothing else it's a great resume tool and good for search ranking.
Note: You don't need any of the other bells and whistles offered at this stage (you can always get fancy later). You'll be asked to fill out your account details and then you'll be ready to get your blog/site set up.
Step 3:
Create your blog/website using Wordpress which is free through Bluehost. All you have to do is pick the layout you like and off you go (Bluehost automatically installs it for you for FREE). If you're unsure of anything along the way simply ask Bluehost customer service , they're more than happy to set up what you need to get you up and running. Simply jump on the chat and ask e.g. 'hey, can you please help me set up Wordpress so I can get started with my blog’.

1. Begin before you're ready - if you wait until you know enough, are confident enough, or are....any number of 'enoughs', you'll never start. Just begin.
2. Confidence is found in the doing - your ego (the mental chatter) will have you doubt yourself every step of the way, especially in the beginning because it wants you to stay in familiar 'safe' territory. Ignore it.
3. Start small and consistently - success is born in the little continual steps that you take every single day. That's how your trajectory truly changes. It isn't in any one thing. If you shift the angle that something is travelling in just a fraction, in time it will end up in an entirely different place. The fortune is in the follow through.
4. Enjoy the journey - You won't be happy when you get to X or Y or Z, if you're not enjoying the now. Live in the excitement of your dreams coming to fruition every day. When you do, something magical happens. Instead of you trying to control all of the outcomes of your life, life will flow for you.
