There’s no doubt that realising your purpose and bringing it to life through your passion/s is the definition of sweet sweet satisfaction.

This is because not only does it bring reason to the chaos or the monotony we can often find ourselves caught in but because it also brings joy and connection to that which is most important to us at our deepest level.

Once we're clear on our passions and purpose and ready to walk further in that direction there's a variety of avenue's we can take to live in alignment with our path.

We can integrate our passions and purpose into our life from the very beginning in all sorts of ways. It might be a daily practice, or volunteering once a week, or reading and learning more or reinvigorating your regular work with your purpose at the forefront of what you do.

OR it can also be in more dramatic ways, it may be changing jobs, or seeking out a new profession altogether, it may be a side project or it may be the entrepreneurial journey that really appeals.

Often when, we realise our passions and purpose, we feel such a sense of fulfilment that we want it to translate into our ‘life's work’. After all, the average person spends over a third of their life in their job, it's no wonder many of us seek to spend as much of that time, living in our ‘sweet spot’.

The old adage 'find work you love and you'll never work a day in your life' is the ultimate aspiration for a lot of people.

It was definitely true for me. Once I became clear and certain on where my best path lay ahead, the appetite to do more and be more in alignment with that grew and grew. At the same time, I noticed I started to begin getting lots of wonderful ideas on how that might come to life (the universe is pretty cool like that, once you get clear and show you’re ready, it keeps giving!).

I really wanted to spend all of my days doing meaningful work, work that I loved and that would help others to do the same.

It's a funny thing, how once we've experienced the joy of something firsthand all you want to do is share that with others. The reason is because we are born to connect and have relationships and 'to serve'. Don't worry it's not all selfless, in fact quite the opposite, it’s because we feel awesome when we can actually experience the impact of our gifts on others.

If you share the dream of wanting to profit off your purpose independently then I want to share with you one of the most powerful and basic ways to begin. This simple initiative can see you sharing and connecting, along with earning very quickly.

Now when I say earning or profiting there’s two types of currency I’m talking about:

1. The currency of connection i.e. sharing and receiving by allowing others to experience your truth and

2. The more obvious, the currency of money, which comes once you begin the first.

Obviously there’s lots of ways you can begin forming ideas to earn off your passions and purpose - assuming you’re now clear on what that is. If you’re not, then you NEED to begin there (check this out if you'd like help in that area).

But the number one thing you can do even before you go brainstorming business ideas and developing plans* is to begin building your voice and sharing it now. How?

Begin writing.

You don't have to be great at English or anything fancy to write (trust me I know!). If you have independent thoughts and have lived any number of years on this earth, you only have to transport those thoughts into words (you can even record yourself and get it transcribed if you prefer not to write yourself). Simple.

If you're shy and still unsure about what to write, just write for yourself to begin with - write for your own creativity, write for your own exploration of your passions and purpose, write for you... and by doing so you'll end up inspiring others. Writing 'your story' is the most transformational thing you can do. It will bring you greater clarity and deepen your alignment quicker than anything else.

We live in the digital era so starting a blog is the simplest and easiest way to do this. AND I'll say it again, you don't have to be a great writer to blog, heck you don’t even have to be able to spell (that’s what spell check is for :)), you just have to be real and speak your own truth. That's what people connect with and your truth will most definitely reach the hearts of those it's meant to.

Your voice, your tone, your perspectives, your experiences, when combined are 100% unique to you!

*The process of writing and sharing will make the next step in your intention to profit off your purpose clear, that’s when the bigger ideas will present themselves!

So, with that said, I'm going to give you literally the most basic instructions possible to get started, with one awesome tool.

Remember, the vey act of creating says to the universe you're ready and puts you in the receptivity mode to share and receive that which you focus on!

Bluehost is the most easy and user-friendly way to get a blog and website set up, plus it's super economical (about the price of 1 x coffee per month) and within about 10 minutes you can be ready to roll.

CREATE YOUR PLATFORM TO BEGIN PROFITING OFF YOUR PURPOSE IN 3 STEPS:

Step 1:

Sign up for the most basic hosting to begin with (about a few dollars a month - can't get much better than that to start a biz...or hobby!) and it comes with a website address (domain name). If you sign up through here you will snag some savings and bonuses not always offered.

**The Basic option is fine to get started!**

Step 2:

Pick your domain name (website address) for your blog/website. If you don't know what domain name to go with, just use your name to begin with (you can change it down the track if you prefer).

**You can just use your name or some combination with your name to begin with - if nothing else it's a great resume tool and good for search ranking.**

Note: You don't need any of the other bells and whistles offered at this stage (you can always get fancy later). You'll be asked to fill out your account details and then you'll be ready to get your blog/site set up.

Step 3:

Create your blog/website using Wordpress which is free through Bluehost. All you have to do is pick the layout you like and off you go (Bluehost automatically installs it for you for FREE). If you're unsure of anything along the way simply ask Bluehost customer service , they're more than happy to set up what you need to get you up and running. Simply jump on the chat and ask e.g. 'hey, can you please help me set up Wordpress so I can get started with my blog’.

THAT'S IT. YOU NOW HAVE A PURPOSE PROFITING PLATFORM AT YOUR FINGERTIPS.

With that done, you're officially on your way to creating your own voice and sharing your passions and purpose with others, with a platform that can begin generating you two currencies, the currency of connection and the currency of money. *

Heads up: While I'm definitely an eternal optimist, I'm also a realist so I don't recommend other products lightly and only suggest that which I truly believe in.

I don't advocate for quitting everything on the spot and going all in. Not because I don't believe that can work but because the journey evolves as you discover more on the way and I know from experience that action (especially getting your thoughts down in a blog) is what breeds clarity. So here's what I do suggest:

Do what you love no matter how long it takes, the time will pass anyway.

1. Start before you're ready - if you wait until you know enough, are confident enough, or are....any number of 'enoughs', you'll never start. Just begin.

2. Confidence is found in the doing - your ego (the mental chatter) will have you doubt yourself every step of the way, especially in the beginning because it wants you to stay in familiar 'safe' territory. Ignore it.

3. Start small and consistently - success is born in the little continual steps that you take every single day. That's how your trajectory truly changes. It isn't in any one thing. If you shift the angle that something is travelling in just a fraction, in time it will end up in an entirely different place. The fortune is in the follow through.

4. Enjoy the journey - You won't be happy when you get to X or Y or Z, if you're not enjoying the now. Live in the excitement of your dreams coming to fruition every day. When you do, something magical happens. Instead of you trying to control all of the outcomes of your life, life will flow for you.
